In Production

Big Up Films is currently working with senior citizens at Alsen Day Centre in Finsbury Park on an arts and filmmaking project 'Tapestry of our Lives' and we are working with children from Broadwater Primary school in Tooting running an arts and filmmaking club 'Let's Make A Movie'. We have been working with senior citizens on a reminiscent and filmmaking project 'The History of Our World in 10 Objects' at St John's Community Project in Clapham. The film is currently in post-production and will be screened in September.

Morley College

Morley College, which is based in South London, commissioned Big Up Films to make a promotional film on the Community Learning programme run by the college. The 10 minute film shows how Morley college runs tailor made courses in the community working with all sorts of groups in community centres, childrens centres and hostels.

New Workshops Commissioned

Big Up Films has been commissioned by a number of schools and youth centres in 2011 to run filmmaking workshops. They include Clapham Manor Primary School where we worked with Year 5 on a documentary on their Science and Engineering Week which was screened at Clapham Picture House; Allen Edwards Primary School on a drama adapted from the book by Anthony Browne 'Into The Forest' and Shine Saturday School working with Year 4, 5 and 6 to produce documentaries on the History of Money, Inspirational People and a Sci Fi drama on a visitor from another planet 'Zog Lands on Earth'.

Pollards Hill Youth Club

We worked with teenagers at Pollards Hill Youth Club in Surrey. Inspired by the music track 'Life's Hard' composed by the young people, they produced a music video taking on the roles of performers, camera and editors.
